Guidance Services
GUIDANCE SERVICE is a set of services using an integrated approach to the development of well-functioning individuals primarily by helping them to utilize their potentials to the fullest.
The Guidance Program is an integral part of the school’s total educational program designed to promote and enhance the academic, personal/ social, emotional, career, and spiritual development of all students. It is anchored on the school’s vision, mission, and core values to form and empower the learners to be inner-directed Vincentian leaders and advocates for the less privileged.
Objectives
- To have available information that will support the faculty in guiding the students personally, educationally, and professionally.
- To assist the students in identifying and attaining personal goals through the development of new attitude in keeping with and in enriching their potentials in relation to wise decisions in life.
- To help students meet the educational requirements of the school so that they will possess the necessary knowledge, attitudes, and skills to successfully practice their chosen professions.
- To aid the students in discovering and exploring their talents and potentials through test interpretation and enrichment activities so as to make wise decisions and prudent adjustment.
- To gain information through follow-up of students, potential dropouts, and alumni that will identify the strengths and weaknesses of the service units, co-curricular activities, and curricular programs.
- To establish channels and support systems through which the guidance services can easily reach the individual student, parents, and community-at-large.
